Chesham
Bowling Club started the new season with some good wins and enjoyed the
glorious weather. The first game on Easter Saturday resulted in a win
against Waddesden 98 shots to 93. Highest winning rink Molly Young,
Trish Parsons, Norman Green and Peter Horton.
The ladies
started their programme on Thursday 28/4 against old rivals Amersham,
winning 41 shots to 32. HWR Vi Coppin, Helen Fillery and Brenda
Waterman.
A mixed triples game against Wingrave again
produced a win for Chesham 114 shots to 54, HWR Margaret Denham, Dot
Burgin and Alan Cohn, and when the London Welsh came with 7 rinks
Chesham's winning streak continued with a score of 162 shots to 116,
HWR Roger Lofty, Brian Wright and Mick Skerry with the impressive score
of 32-6.
The May Day weekend was rounded off when we
travelled to Burnham for a mixed game but Chesham lost 104 shots to
114, HWR Colin Parsons, Margaret Denhamn, Ray Keen and Sue Springell.
It has been a good start for new captains Geoff Denham and Maureen Bailey.
