Chesham Bowling Club have had a busy week with competitions and friendly games.
We played Chalfont St Giles in
the Chiltern and Thames Mixed League and gained 6 points to their 4 points.
Delphine Brown, Sylvia Warrington and Mike Birch won 18-15, Jane Evans,
In the Double Fours v Aylesbury Chesham’s ‘B’ team won one
rink and lost one rink but won on
aggregate shots. Alan Cohn, Geoff Denham, Gerry Elliott and Mike Birch won
22-13, and Chris Fillery,
The friendly match v Chalfont St Giles of 3 mixed rinks resulted in a win 82 shots to 42 shots. HWR Kitty Lofty, Alan Lammin, Peter Horton and Geoff Denham.
Chesham visited Tring with six mixed rinks and lost 100-133 shots. HWR Babs Williams, Harry Denham, Molly Young and Chris Fillery.
Three ladies triples went to Ivor Heath and recorded a win of 56 shots to 42. HWR Jean McNab, Sylvia Warrington and Shirley Gardiner.
Six Mixed Triples travelled to Gerrards Cross and Chesham again won by a good margin 123 shots to 79. HWR George Perry, Peter Horton and Brian Wright.
On Saturday 14 May Chesham played the first leg of the Jubilee Cup against Princes Risborough, but lost by 6 shots, 116-122 HWR John Hooper, Colin Parsons, Roger Lofty and Mike Birch.
The Sunday game against Iver Heath ended with the same result as the previous day, a loss of 116 shots to 122. HWR Mike Bailey, John Henderson, Ashley Ware and Alan Cohn.
