Chesham Bowling Club

In the National Double Fours Chesham A team met Chesham B team last Monday (7th) The A team triumphed with the overall score being  46 shots to 36. David Coles, Brian Wright,  Harley Neems and Jack Elliott (A team) 27-15 against Chris Fillery, Howard Cave, John Holland and Keith Patrick (B team). The second A team , Chris Bunce, Ray Keen, Diet Towned and Mick Skerry lost 19-21 shots to Geoff Denham, Alan Cohn, Gerry Elliott and Michael Birch.

The Over 60 Mixed Double Fours (A team) had a good win against Chandos Park. Sue Faulks, Alan Cohn, Pat Rodgers and Mick Skerry won 22-13 and Marlene Neems, Fay Holmes, Harley Neems and Keith Patrick won 28-8.

Chesham gained maximum points in the Chiltern and Thames Mixed League against Chesham Broadway. All three triples achieved decisive wins: Shirley Gardiner, Tony Strudwick and Gerry Elliott won 24-14, Coral Sills, Sylvia Warrington and Michael Birch won 18-11 and Chris Bunce, Daphne Halsey and Jack Elliott won 21-8.  

The week finished with another close contest against Princes Risborough by the Mixed Double Fours B team with a win by Shirley Gardiner, Sylvia Warrington, Geoff Denham and Diet Townend 22-10, but Jane Evans, Dot Burgin, Tony Strudwick and Roger Elliston lost 12-20.
