The club
travelled to an away fixture at Berkhamsted last week but lost 65 shots
to 85. We had a top winning rink of Trish Parsons, Beryl Meldrum, Colin
Parsons and David Sills.
A ladies triple at Potten End
also resulted in a loss of 43 shots to 56, Highest triple Babs
Williams, Molly Young and Helen Fillery.
A team from
Desborough (Maidenhead) visited Chesham at the weekend. The result was
a good win for Chesham of 136 shots to 106. Top rink Derek Puddephat,
Sylvia Warrington, Brian Cox and Shirley Gardiner.
A trip
to Amersham resulted in another loss but by 1 shot only 53-54. The
highest triple was Jean McNab, Jane Evans and Molly Young.
Chesham
hosted a team from Bovingdon, the first match for many years, and won
146 to 109 shots. The top rink was George Fudge, David Hobbs, Pam
Hooper and Pat Rodgers who also scored a Hot Shot!.
In the
first round of the Burnham Plate the rink of Jane Evans, Fay Holmes,
Dot Burgin and June Holland defeated Broadway by 20 shots, scoring
34-14.
The Chesham ladies have had some success in the
County 2-wood competition. Jean McNab reached the quarter final and was
narrowly beaten by Nicola Ash from Stony Stratford by one shot, 14-15.
Pat Rodgers beat Leslie Throup (Princes Risborough) 18-15 in the
quarter final and Nicole Ash 20-15 in the semi-final. Pat will now go
on to compete in the County final and represent Bucks in the National
finals in August.

bowlers have reached County quarter finals.: singles: Howard Cave,
pairs: Harley Neems and Diet Townend, tr iples: Mick Skerry,
Michael Birch and David Coles and fours: Howard Cave, Ray Keen,
Harley Neems and Keith Patrick, and David Coles, Michael Birch, Diet
