The Australian Pairs competition, held on Bank Holiday Monday resulted in a win for Tricia Parsons and Ashley Ware, who were unbeaten in the afternoon's competition. Chesham started the Chiltern & Thames League competition with a resounding win on all three rinks against Glory Mill. Winning scores were Coral Sills, Ashley Ware and Geoff Denham 24 - 19, Dot Burgin, David Sills, Frank McCartney 15 - 14 and Helen Fillery, Peter Horton, Chris Harvey 35 - 8.
In the first leg of the annual Jubilee Cup against Princes Risborough, Chesham went down by 95 - 113. Chesham's top rink was David Hobbs, Richard Free and Norman Green 19 - 15. The second leg is in June at home where Chesham are looking to make up the 18 shot deficit. An even narrower loss at Iver Heath, by just one shot, 91 - 92, with top rink Derek Puddiphat, David Sills and Norman Green (17 - 11).
