Another success at the National Trials
Howard Cave and Keith Patrick from Chesham Bowls club were in the winning county triples team at the Buckinghamshire Short Mat Bowls National Trials at Handy Cross, High Wycombe.
Playing with Paul Knight from Sands Bowls Club they won against 16 other triples from all over the county.
Howard and Keith go on to represent Buckinghamshire at the English Short Mat National Championships to be held at Bromsgrove in April.
Bucks this year can take three triples teams to the National Finals and that was good news for Malcolm Warwick who teamed up with Tony Rixon and Arnie Jaffe from Bellingdon and came third in the championship, which means that Malcolm will be going to the Nationals for the first time.
