Saturday Morning Lessons & Practice
---------------------------------- These sessions start at 10:00 am and are ideal for players new to Short Mat Bowls, or for those who simply want to practice and improve in a relaxed, no-pressure roll-up. Note: There is no short mat every third Saturday of the month as we have Coffee Morning instead. Everyone is warmly welcome — come along, have a go, and enjoy a friendly morning of bowls! Friday Morning Club League
---------------------------------- Competition Format: Date: Friday, 10th October Time: Players to arrive by 10:00 am. Play will begin once the Skips have decided which players are taking part in each discipline. The Skip will select four players to play Fours (2 bowls each, 6 ends). The remaining player will play Singles (4 bowls each, 9 ends). After these games — and after tea -- The Skip will then select 3 players to play Triples (2 bowls each, 6 ends). The two remaining players will play Pairs (3 bowls each, 7 ends). Scoring: All shots from each game will be added together. 2 points will be awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw. Player Participation: Every player must play two different disciplines during the competition. On October 31st, a bank of reserves will be available. If you are unable to play on any date, please let me know as soon as possible so a reserve can be arranged. Rules: A jack off the mat incurs a 2-shot penalty to the opposing team — the end counts. No visiting the head. All other Short Mat rules apply. |
