Chris, Ray and Howard through in Unbadged and 2 Wood County Competitions
The regional stages of the first Men's County competitions have been played. Chris Bunce has won through to the semifinal of the unbadged singles, and Ray Keen and Howard Cave are through to the quarter final of the two wood competition.
In the latest Chiltern & Thames league match, Chesham won against Chalfont St Giles in all three triples securing maximum points. Barbara Strudwick, June Holland and Mick Skerry won 22 -18, Helen Fillery, David Coles and Chris Harvey 22 – 15 and Howard Cave, Avril Harland and Keith Patrick 29 – 11.
In friendly matches on Saturday Chesham lost a very close match at Tring by just one shot 88 -89, Chesham's highest triple was Mo Bailey, John Burgin and Howard Cave (24 – 9). On Sunday at home to Thame, there was a resounding win 134 – 89, with top rink Delphine Brown, Robbie Williams, Margaret Denham and Alan Cohn. Finally a ladies triples match against Rickmansworth ended in a draw 47 – 47, top triple was Mo Bailey, Coral Sills and Jackie Bateman 18 – 15.
