Another Chesham bowler is going to the National Championships at Leamington. Sue Faulks with Lesley Throup of Princes Risborough have won through in the Ladies 55 and Over pairs, winning against a team from Stoney Stratford.
In the men's county competitions, fours Howard Cave, Chris Harvey, Ray Keen and Keith Patrick won against Stoney Stratford to get to the semi-finals. Also through is Roger Elliston in the singles, who beat Bob Doddington, Iver Heath.
Chesham had a disappointing end to their Bucks Cup campaign, loosing away to Aylesbury Town in the quarter-final by just seven shots.
In friendly matches Chesham lost at home to Lupton 80 – 101, but did have a top rink Vi Coppin, Tony Holt and Roy Rodgers 14 – 9.
Chesham also lost in the Vi Trundell competition this week to Broomwade. The home team of Helen Fillery, Jackie Bateman, June Holland and Pat Rodgers won 26 – 19, but away Courtney Harvey, Barbara Strudwick, Lin Wright and Terri Keen lost 12 – 22.
