David Sills and Mick Skerry through to County 2 Wood Q/F
The regional rounds of the County 2 Wood were completed this week, and through to the quarterfinals are David Sills, who beat Nathan Harvey 16 -11 and Mick Skerry who won against Howard Cave 15 - 7.
Chesham had a good win in the National Double Fours competition at Amersham, 49 - 28 shots. Trevor Bateman, Andy Roker, Chris Fillery and Norman Green won 24 - 19 and Malcolm Warwick, David Sills, Tony Holt and Mike Bailey won 25 - 9.
Results this week from friendly matches. At Tring, Chesham won on 3 rinks and drew on one but lost over all by 5 shots 87-92, top rink was Eilleen Perry, George Fudge, Helen Fillery and Alan Cohn 18-15. At Thame, Chesham also lost 99 - 151, but did have a winning rink of Harry Denham, Margaret Denham, David Francis and Dot Burgin 27 -17.
In the ladies games in the week, Chesham won against Rickmansworth 69 - 40, with top rink of Jean McNab, Brenda Waterman, Delphine Brown 24 - 9, but lost in a close match with Iver Heath 37 - 41, top rink Daphne Halsey, Toni Nightingale and Kitty Lofty 15 - 8.
