Chris, Ashley and David through to Benevolent Triples S/F
The regional rounds of the County Benevolent Triples were completed this week, and the final match was an all Chesham affair with Chris Fillery, Ashley Ware and David Coles winning against Howard Cave, Chris Harvey and Keith Patrick 24 -12. David Coles's team now go on the County semi-finals and finals to be played on Chesham's green in September.
There was a hat-trick of wins for Chesham in friendly games this week. On Wednesday at home to Thame, although the rinks were tied 3 -3, Chesham won the match overall by 107 - 75, helped by a top rink of Brian Skuse, Margaret Shepherd and Colin Parsons 25 - 7. Then against Bovingdon Chesham won 112 - 77, top rink Jeff Tricket, captain Margaret Denham, Helen Fillery and Roy Rodgers 30 - 18. Finally on Sunday against Eastcote, Chesham won 137 - 107, with top rink Derek Puddephat, Brian Skuse, Colin Parsons and Trevor Bateman 24 - 11.
In Ladies games this week there were also wins against Princes Risborough 31 - 29 - top rink Eileen Perry, Helen Fillery and Chris Smethurst 21 - 6, and Waddesdon 53 - 45 with top rink Coral Sills, Jean McNab, and Margaret Denham 19 - 10.
