The Membership Renewal Evening will be on Friday 4th March from 7 pm for payment of Subs and Competition Entries.

The first competition of the new year is traditionally the Short Mat Drawn Pairs competition.  Sixteen pairs competed over the Christmas period.

The semifinals and finals were held today looked on by a large crowd appreciating the fine bowling.

Semi-final winners were Mike Abbott and Helen Fillery coming  from behind to win against Brenda Waterman and Malcolm Tingle.  In the other semi-final Jayne Denham and Malcolm Warwick won against Margaret Denham and John Holland.

The winners of the final were Jayne Denham and Malcolm Warwick, becoming the ninth pair to win the trophy, presented by Norman Green.
