Short Mat Schedule 10th - 21st Feb

Hi players,
Here is the scheduled Shortmat rollup for this week and next week:
This Week:

Wednesday starting at 1:30 PM
Thursday starting at 2:00 PM - With Robert as normal

Next Week:
Many of the players and organisers will be at Bembridge, Isle of Wight.
Steph, Steve, Rob, and Diane have kindly volunteered to open up the club and organize the following sessions:

Monday at 1:30 PM
Wednesday at 1:30 PM
Thursday at 2:00 PM - With Robert as normal.

At the last Coffee Morning, a Cheque for £1100 was presented to Guide Dogs for the Blind which was the Club Charity for 2024.

Short Mat Update for Week Commencing 3rd February

Dear Players,
Please note the following changes to the short mat roll-up schedule for the coming days:

Tomorrow (3rd Feb): No roll-up due to a league match.
Wednesday (5th Feb): Roll-up at usual time starting at 2:00 PM.
Thursday (6th Feb):
- Roll-up will begin at approximately 1:30 PM on both mats.
- After 2:25 PM, roll-up will continue only on the window mat.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Beetle Drive Cancelled

Dear Members,
Due to lack of numbers mainly because a number of members are unwell, we regret to inform you that the Beetle Drive scheduled for Sunday, 26th has been cancelled.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We hope to reschedule the Beetle Drive for another date.

Bonus Quiz Night - Friday 24th January

Hi Members,
We’re pleased to announce a bonus Quiz Night this Friday, even though it’s not on our official social calendar!
A big thank you to Helen Fillery, who has kindly offered to be our Quiz Master for the evening.
The evening will follow the usual format:

Bar opens: 6:30 PM
Toasties served: 7:00 PM (please reserve your toasties in advance to avoid disappointment)
Quiz starts: 7:30 PM

After the quiz, if you’d like to stick around, we’ll be showing the World Indoor Bowls on TV. It’s set to be a good singles quarter-final match!
We hope to see you there for an evening of fun, food, and friendly competition!

We’ll be presenting our cheque to the 2024 club charity, Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Sunday, 26th January, 2:00 PM – Beetle Drive

Beetle Drive - Sunday 26th January

Dear Members,
We regret to inform you that the Beetle Drive has been postponed from next Sunday 12th January to Sunday, 26th January due to short notice, a lack of confirmed numbers, and other events happening next weekend.
We will send out another reminder closer to the date. In the meantime, please let us know if you are interested in attending so that we can get an accurate headcount.
