The first competition of the year for Chesham Bowling Club, the Short Mat Drawn Pairs, has been completed.
Out of 16 pairs competing, Brenda Waterman and Malcolm Tingle were winners, beating Margaret Denham and Howard Cave in the final.
Malcolm Tingle and Howard Cave, were joined by Malcolm Warwick and Keith Patrick playing in the Buckinghamshire Short Mat Fours Championship. The Four won, beating Holmer Green in the final, retaining their title which they won last year. They go on to represent Buckinghamshire in the National Short Mat finals at Church Gresley in Derbyshire in April.
